Clear Clutter. Earn Big.

Supplies You’ll Need DIY Sellers:

Cardstock or regular paper (cardstock is preferred but not required), address label sheets, Ziploc bags, hangers (any type), #2 safety pins, twine/zip ties, packing tape tape, blue painter’s tape, and batteries.

Tagging & Pricing Basics:

Use our pricing chart for guidance. Price 70-75% off retail. Example: $20 item → $4.50–$5. New-with-tags items can be higher.

Preparing your items:

Use white cardstock for “tags” and pin on the upper right side if using safety pins, in the seam of the under arm if using a tagging gun. Make sure the tag is secured, and if using a tagging gun, that the barb is thick enough. We recommend pinning/tagging in the center of the tag so the tag will withstand a light tug.

Use standard address labels for “labels” for loose items, books, and shoes. (optional)

Pay attention to where the tag is attached. Try to avoid delicate fabrics so as not to create permanent holes in the clothing (if too delicate, it is ok to attach the tag to the label inside the clothing). Adjust the tag as needed in these circumstances. Tagging gun barbs should only be placed in the underarm seam.

Hang so the hook looks like a question mark (?). Pin pants/skirts at the waist, pin pajama feet up, combine two-piece outfits on one hanger with the shirt facing forward and the pants facing forward when the shirt is turned around.

Shoes – Must be LIKE NEW. Tie or zip-tie shoes together (unless priced over $15. We will keep one shoe at the register). Write the shoe size on the barcode label inside each shoe.

Toys, Books, Furniture & Equipment: Clean and include batteries. Attach small parts securely. Use blue painter’s tape for books/puzzles, clear packing tape for Ziploc sets.

Games & Puzzles must be complete and taped closed. Use blue painter’s tape for tags. Wrap wooden puzzles in clear plastic wrap.

Large Toys, Infant Gear & Furniture High-demand items! Secure tags firmly with clear packing tape all the way around.

Rookie Mistakes to Avoid

Do not place items in zip lock bags other than small toys pieces. Shoppers want to inspect items and will either pass on the item, or rip open the bag. Either way, the item probably won’t sell.

For larger sized bottoms, pins need to be placed closer together so the item won’t fall off or hang to one side. Make it easy to see your item!

Do not bring stained items for “play clothes”. Shoppers want the best! Check your lighting at home to ensure you can properly inspect your items for stains.

Do not use packing tape on books and puzzles. Use painters tape so the buyer can easily open the set once they get home. Packing tape will rip books and puzzles.

Do not hang multiples incorrectly. When hanging multiples, make sure the safety pin “catches” the hanger. Otherwise, the shirt (first piece) will likely rip.

If you choose to use a tagging gun, do not attach tags through the clothes. Attach in the under arm seam.
